Westminster Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is currently hiring a Director of Quality and Compliance for Senior Options, LLC.

What will I do as a Director of Quality and Compliance for Home Health and Hospice?

The Director of Quality and Compliance for Home Health and Hospice is responsible for measuring, monitoring, reporting and facilitating improvement in home health and hospice outcomes for our client's partners.  You will also be responsible for educating and monitoring compliance of each partner.  By leading in quality and compliance efforts, you will maintain current policies and procedures for the system and contribute to the partner portal.  This is a national opportunity and travel will be required fifty percent of the time.

  • Conduct mock surveys annually for each of the partners. Assist them in preparing plans of corrections.
  • Provide on- site and remote assistance to partners for Medicare and CHAP surveys
  • Provide electronic and on-site medical record reviews.
  • Remain current with regulations and provide regulatory compliance education to each partner.
  • Lead the compliance committee and represent the company.
  • Manage and keep current the policies and procedures. Communicate updates to partner agencies.
  • Monitor publicly reported quality outcomes, patient satisfaction results, PEPPER reports, and OASIS Optimization reports and other quality and compliance indicators. Prepare reports for monthly operations call. Assist partners in understanding and improving quality and compliance measures.
  • Develop QAPI programs for each partner.
  • Participate in and provide reports for monthly operations calls.
  • Reviews all contracts annually.
  • Provide user training for electronic health records as needed. Serve as back up the director of health information as needed.
  • Effectively communicates in interpersonal, professional and public relationships.
  • Provides outstanding customer service and works collaboratively with client team members and vendors.
  • Supervises additional quality assurance and compliance directors with growth.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to advancing home and community-based services.
  • Ensures that verbal and written communications are understandable, with attention given to feelings, opinions, and attitudes of others. 
  • Keeps personnel informed of changes that affect them. 
  • Answers correspondence, email and voicemail appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • When requested, presents speaking engagements and in-services pertaining to services.


What do I need for this role?

  • Possesses a Bachelor's Degree, or a Master's Degree, in a field including, but not limited to, management, nursing, social work or public health.
  • Possesses a minimum of five years' experience in medical and health setting, with experience in home health and hospice.
  • Possesses a minimum of three years' experience in supervision and administration.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license and automobile in good working condition.
  • Possesses smart phone.
  • Must be able to drive up to 8 hours a day.
  • Travel up to 50% of time, including overnight travel to any state in the USA where partners are located.
  • Must be able to fly on commercial airlines within the United States.
